5. social media plugins
5.1 Facebook
Social media plugins from Facebook are used on the web pages of the website. Facebook is an offer of the US company Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA/USA).

When you call up a website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser and integrated by it into the website.

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding web page of the website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly assign your visit to the website to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Like" or "Share" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends.

Facebook uses this information for the purposes of advertising, market research, and needs-based design of the Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of the website with regard to the advertisements displayed to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on the website and to provide other services associated with the use of Facebook.

If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via the website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting the website.

The website contains further social media plugins, namely the services Instagram and Twitter, which are offered by the US companies Instagram LLC. and Twitter Inc. respectively.

The social media plugins of these service providers are embedded as graphic files in the web pages of the website. Each time the buttons are called up, they are loaded from the website of the providers of the social media services. In this way, it is possible that in particular the IP addresses of all website visitors and the URL of the visited website are forwarded to the servers of the social media services and stored there.

From our side, there is no disclosure of data in such processes according to the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG). We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the website, have no knowledge of the content of any transmitted data or its use by the providers of the social media services. For further information on data protection, please refer to the data protection statements of the individual providers of these social media services.
